Donald Cerrone will do anything to fight 6 times in 2014, including changing weight classes

Inside MMA reported that Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone is still keen on fighting 6 times this year, which would break the UFC record for most fights by one individual in a single year.

Cerrone has said that he will do almost anything to fight 6 times, including moving up to 170 pounds.  He believes he may need to because there won't be enough Lightweights ready to fight him.

Cowboy has already fought twice this year, finishing Adriano Martins and Edson Barboza both in the first round.  He is fighting the Lightweight Jim Miller on July 16th in Atlantic City, NJ.  A win over Miller would put him pretty close to a title shot, regularly.  Although, champion Anthony Pettis has been injured for so long and is likely to finally make his first title defense at the end of the year against Gilbert Melendez, he can't count on a title shot at 155 till 2015.  The Lightweight division is in a strange position, because by the time Pettis fights Melendez, there'll likely be a couple of fighters who should've earned their title shots by now.  The highest they can fight now is Benson Henderson, pretty much.  A win over him would likely get you a title shot, as he's a former champ, or very close to one.

In my opinion, Cerrone doesn't suit Welterweight at all.  He's too small for 170 pounders and I believe would get beat pretty easily.  A 155-er like Jim Miller, on the other hand, would suit Welterweight really well.  If Donald is looking to get out of 155, his best bet is to go down to 145.  I think Cowboy could become the champion at Featherweight I think, unless that's too much weight to cut.
