Rousey vs. Davis in the works for UFC 175.
UFC Womens Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC)  fought at UFC 168, she then had a quick turn-around and fought at UFC 170, she is now scheduled to make another fairly quick turn-around as there is reports that she and Alexis Davis (16-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC) are scheduled to fight at UFC 175. Reports only came out just over a day ago. If this fight is in the works it would be a very interesting matchup in my eyes.

DJ To headline his first ever Pay Per View at UFC 174.
Believe it or not, UFC Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (19-2-1 MMA, 7-1-1 UFC) has not yet headlined a PPV event, shocked? I was too, I had too think about it for a while before I realised it was true. In his first Title Fight he was the Co-Main Event of UFC 152, he then defended his title three times all of them coming in the main event of FOX cards. He finally gets a chance to headline a PPV and may finally start to get recognition he deserves as a UFC Champion. Johnson has looked more impressive every time he has fought in the UFC and proved that he has knockout power to add to his excellent wrestling and speed last time out when he knocked out Joseph Benavidez. UFC Cuts Jake Shields following UFC 171 Loss.

As we all know Jake Shields' fighting style is not one a fan craves to see. Shields tends to use his superior wrestling to smother his opponents and most of the time, his fights suck, and that's putting it lightly. Shields' amounted a 4-3 record in the UFC, with 1 No Contest. His UFC career started off better than most expected, he beat Martin Kampmann and was immediately gifted with a shot at then Champion Georges St. Pierre (25-2 MMA, 19-2 UFC). After losing his title shot he returned to face Jake Ellenberger (29-7 MMA, 8-3 UFC), he lost that fight via TKO in the first round. He would then beat Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-5-2NC MMA, 1-4 UFC) and Ed Herman (21-10-1NC MMA, 8-7-1NC UFC). The win over Herman was overturned to a NC after Shields' failed his post fight drug test. He then put together a two fight win streak, beating Tyron Woodley (13-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and Demian Maia (18-6 MMA, 12-6 UFC) both by decision. After that, he fought Hector Lombard (34-4-1-1NC MMA, 3-2 UFC), Lombard punched, kick and tossed Shields all over the octagon to win by Decision, after the one sided loss, Shields was cut from the promotion.

JDS vs. Miocic and Chael vs. Wanderlei both moved.

Former UFC heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos (16-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) was set to return to action in the Co-Main Event of UFC 173 against Stipe Miocic (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC). The fight has now been moved from UFC 173 to The Ultimate Fighter Brazil Final, there is not yet a reason why but this change will surely favour the Brazilian Junior dos Santos as he will have a crowd pulling for him. Chael Sonnen (28-14-1 MMA, 6-5 UFC) and Wanderlei Silva (35-12-1 MMA, 4-5 UFC) are the coaches on TUF Brazil, there is a rivalry there and fans are excited to see this fight, they are going to have to wait longer than first thought though as their fight has been moved to the Co-Main Event of UFC 175.

Well, that's all fight fans, I hope you enjoyed this weeks dose of Weekly Update, if you think we can improve this post please comment and tell us what you would add or change.
