Former Champion Georges St-Pierre: Update on his life

Former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre tore his left ACL just months after 'taking time off' from the sport. St. Pierre defeated now champion Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 but he took a considerable amount of punishment. It was evident that he was not in the right mental state after the fight, he attended the post fight press conference after being instructed not to by doctors, he also stuttered a lot and couldn't find an answer for most of the questions thrown his way.

GSP announced shortly after the fight in a conference call that he is going to take time off and think about whether he wants to come back, this news sent shock waves through the MMA world. Although 'Rush' was taking time off from fighting, he was still training, that's how he tore his left ACL.

St. Pierre has came out recently and has said that he wasn't motivated for the championship fight with Johny Hendricks and that's why he performed so poorly. He was in Berlin earlier this week in support of his team mate Francis Carmont who is fighting there on Saturday. For the most part he avoided the media but he did give a quick update on his health and his life.

Regarding his injured knee, GSP said "I has the same procedure on my right knee and my leg came back stronger, now both of my legs are going to be stronger"

The former champion also said "I've been doing this since I was 19, I was really motivated for the Carlos Condit fight, the Nick Diaz fight not so much, but the last training camp my motivation was very low, I lost motivation, I need to feel that hunger again"

What do you think about GSP's comments? Do you have a different answer to the over-asked question "Do you think GSP will return?"
