Gegard Mousasi moves closer to a title shot with win at UFC Fight Night 41, Tim Kennedy vs. Gegard Mousasi makes sense

Just last Saturday, May 31st, Gegard Mousasi moved back into the win column after he submitted Mark Munoz in the first round.  He was coming off a decision loss to Lyoto Machida, who is fighting Chris Weidman for the Middleweight title at UFC 175 in July.

Tim Kennedy is coming off of a decision win against Michael Bisping and now both fighters are likely one or two wins away from a title shot.

Another possible matchup is Luke Rockhold vs. Gegard Mousasi, although Rockhold is closer to a title shot than Mousasi and Kennedy, so a #1 contenders bout with Ronaldo Souza makes the most sense for him.

If Mousasi and Kennedy fought each other, the winner would likely be one more win away from a title shot.
