Jacare Souza set to return at UFC 176 in Los Angeles, California

Top Middleweight Ronaldo 'Jacare' Souza is set to make his return fight at UFC 176 later this summer.  UFC 176 is taking place in Los Angeles, California on August 2nd, and is headlined by a 145 pound rematch, Featherweight champion Jose Aldo is taking on Chad Mendes.

Souza has lately recovered from elbow injuries he got during his fight with Francis Carmont, at UFC Fight Night 36 and has now been seen training on Instagram videos.

Although it has been announced that Jacare will be fighting at UFC 176, no opponent has been announced.  Jacare is interested in fighting the top portion of Middleweights.  Fighters without a fight scheduled that could possibly fight Souza are Luke Rockhold, Tim Kennedy, and Gegard Mousasi.

Vitor Belfort was scheduled to fight Chael Sonnen at UFC 175, but now Sonnen is out and we don't even know if Belfort will be licensed to fight.  If he is clean, and the fight at UFC 175, he would be a possible opponent for Jacare Souza in Los Angeles.

The fight that makes the most sense is Souza vs. Luke Rockhold.  The winner of that bout would earn a title shot, meanwhile if Belfort wins his next fight (if he does fight) he'll get the first title shot against the winner of Weidman-Machida.  Then the winner of Souza vs. Rockhold will fight the winner of Belfort vs. the champion (Weidman or Machida).  That's what makes the most sense.
