Chael Sonnen was scheduled to face Wanderlei Silva at UFC 175, Silva apparently refused to take a drug test and was subsequently pulled from the card. Long time rival of Sonnen, Vitor Belfort stepped in.

When the match-up was announced, the UFC revealed that the winner of the bout would get a shot at the middleweight championship. This decision was questioned as Chael Sonnen hasn't fought at middleweight since his July 2012 loss at the hands of Anderson Silva and he has also gone 1-2 since then.

Chael Sonnen is known for being able to talk himself into a title shot and that's what many assumed had happened when the UFC announced the winner would be getting a title shot, but shortly after, the UFC made it clear that if Chael Sonnen won he would not get a title shot but if Belfort did, he would be the next in line for the throne. Belfort was scheduled to face Weidman at UFC 173, but pulled out because TRT, of which he was a user, was banned.

Did the UFC make the right move putting Belfort right into a No.1 challenger fight after the TRT ban? I guess we will have to wait and see. How do you think this fight will play out? Do you think Non-TRT Vitor can turn his 3 fight winning streak into 4? Tweet me and let me know what you think about this fight
