The former Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua is not retiring following a knockout loss to the hands of legend Dan Henderson earlier this year.
In the main event of UFC Fight Night 38, Rua was dominating Henderson but then got hit with a perfect "H-Bomb" and broke his nose. Rua is almost recovered from successful nose surgery.
His manager told UFC Tonight last Wednesday that Shogun plans to continue fighting, and would like a spot on the Japan card in September. He has a fan base in Japan he acquired when he fought in Pride FC.
UFC Fight Night 51 is taking place in Saitama, Japan on September 20th, 2014. It is headlined by the heavyweights with pairs of some of the heaviest hands in the promotion, Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson.
Do you think he should call it quits, or continue fighting? If you don't think his time has come, who would you like to see Mauricio Rua fight next?
